I happened to just stumble on this, but I was completely amazed that you can now find the 1928 George Clason classic “The richest man in Babylon” absolutely free.
Some would argue that this book laid the foundation for the personal finance movement as we know it and was the first of it’s kind. Written in a simple to understand format with a narrative storyline, “The Richest Man in Babylon” is a classic that will never be irrelevant.
The book outlines several personal finance mantras which include in an ancient concept. Some of the chapters include:
The Man Who Desired Gold
Seven Cures for a Lean Purse
Meet the Goddess of Good Luck
The Five Laws of Gold
The Gold Lender of Babylon
The Luckiest Man in Babylon
Personally, I think this book should be a required reading in high schools across the country, but I’m not going to hold my breath. If you’d like to become wealthy, reading this book is a great place to start.
